Chris W. Treloar holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Percussion Performance from the St. Louis Conservatory of Music, as well as a Teacher’s Certificate for the state of Missouri. As a freelance musician, Mr. Treloar has performed, recorded and toured with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and several national touring acts at the Fox and Muny, as well as performing for Olivia Newton-John, the Moody Blues, Dennis DeYoung (Styx), Lou Rawls, Marvin Hamlisch, Tony Orlando, Rosemary Clooney, Debby Boone, Frankie Lane, Mary Wilson (The Supremes), Ben E. King, Clay Aiken, Idina Menzel, Johnny Matthis, Weird Al Yankovic and The Who. Currently, Mr. Treloar is the timpanist for the Bach Society of St. Louis and Winter Opera.
Educationally, Chris W. Treloar is the percussion specialist at Vianney High School. He has taught in an adjunct capacity at both the University of Missouri at St. Louis and Webster University. Mr. Treloar maintains a private teaching studio from which three students have been finalists in the Music Teachers National Association Percussion Competition, two of whom were named the National Winner. Aaron McDonald, Principal Timpanist of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Greg Cohen, Principal Percussionist of the San Diego Symphony began their private studies in this studio. Mr. Treloar is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and is a Past-President for the Missouri Chapter.
